Throughout its rich history, The Jewish Center has prided itself on its advanced educational initiatives, offering engaging and relevant courses on a wide variety of Jewish topics. By opening multiple portals of entry into the world of study, our goal is to make the study of Torah and the pursuit of wisdom accessible to our members and the broader Jewish community. To that end, our mission is threefold:

TO CHALLENGE our members and participants to push beyond their comfort zones of Jewish knowledge by confronting modernity and exploring the profundities of difficult life issues.

TO EMPOWER our members and participants by engaging them in an ongoing conversation with the texts that form the backbone of our rich tradition.

TO INSPIRE our members and participants to deepen their commitment to study by making it part of their daily and weekly routines.

We invite you to take part in all of our educational opportunities and Torah study at The Jewish Center.

The Jewish Center considers Israel activism a core value. Not only do we pray each Shabbat morning for a strong and secure State of Israel and for lasting peace in the Middle East, but we also do what we can to actualize those prayers, members who make aliyah are celebrated; travel to Israel, especially through The Jewish Center mission is encouraged; support of Israeli businesses, charities, and the Israeli economy is emphasized; and ongoing demonstrations of support for the government of Israel are endorsed. In addition, the Israel Activism Committee organizes events and projects to advance our members participation in local and national civic life to promote consciousness and awareness about Jewish issues by communicating with our elected official and disseminating information to the community.

The Young Leadership Committee is a dynamic group that services the young adult population of our community through an ambitious calendar of social and religious events. The nucleus of YL's programming is the weekly Shabbat minyan, a spiritual service in a warm atmosphere, including a sermon by JC clergy. The YL minyan sponsors a monthly hot Kiddush and Friday night dinners to please the palate as well as the soul, and Friday night onegs in casual venues to meet other members as well as the rabbis.
