Ani L'dodi V'dodi Li: The Love of the Month of Elul

Dr. Susan Weissman is Associate Professor of Judaic Studies at Lander College for Women, a division of Touro College and University System, where she also serves as Chair of the Judaic Studies Department. She teaches Bible and its Interpretation to students at the College as well as to women’s learning groups in her local community. She has lectured at synagogues and for women’s learning groups in NY, NJ, Atlanta, and Chicago.

Susan earned her Ph.D. in Medieval Jewish History at Yeshiva University’s Bernard Revel Graduate School. Her research focuses on the intellectual and cultural history of the Jews of medieval Europe. Her book, entitled Final Judgement and The Dead in Medieval Jewish Thought, was published by The Littman Library of Jewish Civilization and released in July. She resides in Passaic, NJ with her husband and family.
