The Hospitality Committee promotes the value of hachnasat orchim, welcoming guests, and creates an environment of warmth in the shul by welcoming the many visitors and newcomers to New York City. Together with a community of volunteers who open their homes on Shabbat and Yom Tov, we arrange for guests to have a place to share a meal in a friendly home environment.
Our Committee is also a valuable resource for visitors to the community that have Shabbat related questions about hotels and restaurants with pre-paid Shabbat option.
If you would like to invite guests to your home for Shabbat meals, if you would like an invitation, or if you like to be a part of this committee, please contact Chani or Elana at hospitality@jewishcenter.org
