The Aner Foundation
Shira and Moshe Shapira moved our congregation deeply when they spoke in the Main Shul on Shabbat about their son, Aner Shapira z”l, who fell heroically on October 7th. Unarmed at the Nova Festival, Aner saved dozens of lives by catching and throwing back grenades hurled into a shelter, becoming a lasting symbol of courage and selflessness. A gifted musician and artist from Jerusalem, Aner believed in the power of creativity to heal and unite. The Aner Foundation continues his legacy—using music to build empathy, bridge divides, and strengthen communities across Israel.

GFIDF - The Partners of Fallen IDF Soldiers
The GFIDF provides emotional support, community, and advocacy for the unmarried partners of fallen IDF soldiers. In close coordination with the IDF, our volunteers reach out immediately after loss to offer comfort, guidance, and a caring presence. Through mentoring, support groups, and remembrance initiatives, we ensure that no partner grieves alone — helping each one navigate loss with dignity, strength, and connection while honoring the love and sacrifice they shared.
